Augusta, GA, Georgia Dr. Richard G. Kimmel 1945 — 2024 Entered into rest on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, Dr. Richard Gayne Kimmel, 78, loving husband of 37 years to Valerie Strom Kimmel. Richard was born in Richmond, Indiana and was raised near Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Wilmington College where he played basketball, ran track and was a member of TDK Fraternity. Richard then attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and earned a D.M.D. degree and orthodontic residency, M.S.D. He also taught at University of Kentucky Dental School for two years. Richard established an orthodontic office in Ft. Myers, Florida where he practiced for twenty-five years.
