Homemade Strawberry Sauce is a Family Favorite:
This homemade strawberry sauce is so good. I love to use fresh strawberries in the Summer and make this. It always comes out flavorful and easy to make.
We love it so much that I make it year round though and just use frozen strawberries. It is delicious served with pound cake, pancakes waffles, cheesecake and more.
How to Freeze Strawberry Sauce:
Freezing Strawberry Sauce is easy to do with these simple steps:
- Make sure to allow the strawberry sauce to cool to room temperature.
- Spoon strawberry sauce in an air tight container. Since the strawberry sauce has a dark color, it is possible that it might stain your container.
- I like to leave about ½ inch space between the top of container and the syrup.
- Close the container and place in the freezer.

Can I make Strawberry Sauce without Sugar?
Yes, you can make it without sugar, but it will change the taste of the sauce. We recommend using a sugar substitute like stevia or just cutting the amount you add.
Experiment with the ingredients you are adding and make the recipe your own.
How to storeHomemade Strawberry Sauce:
Once cooled, pour the sauce into an airtight container. We prefer to use a simplemason jar. You probably already have several in your cabinet.
If not, you can order one of thesepint size mason jarsand keep it in the fridge. I like this set because it comes with different sizes and labels.
